These tires absorb bumps better than my smaller Hankooks. When I first saw the tires on the car I said ****, the extra 20mm x 4 is going to make the ride a lot harsher. The car handles like when I'm on my bike, it almost knows when I want to turn, no effort. They slight offset of my new rims fill the wheel well perfectly.Ĭornering and responsiveness was instantly improved. I replaced them today with the BFG Comp 2 A/S 225/40/ZR18 on 8x18 wheels. 1 tire was brand new while the others looked like they have at least 85% tread on them. The car was fitted with Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2 205/50/ZR17 on stock wheels. I picked up a 2005 330Ci convertible a little over 2 weeks ago. Got them installed this morning and only put about 20 miles on them. Not many seem to have these tires and so if you can keep us posted on your thoughts, it will be much appreciated. I am scheduled to do a 500+ mile drive next weekend and plan to decide after that. (The ones written by BMW owners dated back to 2010-2012 and they hated it.) So, unable to figure out if the more recent productions have improved. Since my tires are relatively new (less than 2k miles on them), I checked for their more current reviews on Tirerack, especially written by bimmer owners but didn't find many. Plus, it absorbs all the pathetic roads in NYC/Jersey City admirably well. Importantly, it does not make me hesitate when cornering a high speed. I have still not pulled the trigger because I did some more spirited driving yesterday and though I am not thrilled with the lacklusture feeling I have when i corner, I find that the GYLS2 is holding up pretty ok.
